About the facility
Barwon Health, based in Geelong, Victoria, is one of the largest and most comprehensive regional health services in Australia, providing the full spectrum from primary care, community services, aged care, rehabilitation, mental health, emergency and acute care and employing over 6,500 staff. Barwon Health has consistently received awards for being at the forefront of high quality health care services to the community and has been highly successful when accredited against the National Safety and Quality Standards in Oct. 2016. We are the major teaching hospital for the Deakin Medical School and have an active and growing research base.
Baxter 7 is a 32 bed unit, encompassing General Medicine, Endocrinology and Infectious diseases. We strive to deliver quality health care to clients through a multi-disciplinary approach.
About the role
We are seeking dynamic, highly motivated Associate Nurse Unit Manager to be a leader of the team. You will be responsible for providing care that is patient centred, safe and of a high quality.
To be successful in this role you will have an interest in general medical nursing, experience of working in Acute Care and the ability to work within a team environment. You will have a passion to provide high quality patient care, the ability to work a flexible roster and an interest in quality improvement. Clinical experience will focus on developing patient assessment skills and interventions aimed at providing optimal patient outcomes.
