Position Summary
  • Be part of a dynamic team supporting and providing education to Barwon Health's Emergency Department and make a difference to their learning experiences. 
  • Fixed Term - Part Time - 40 hours per fortnight,  until September 2022
  • Be part of a Clinical Education and Training team building inter professional education within the digital space and through ongoing face to face programs.

About the facility 

Barwon Health is the major regional health provider for the Barwon South West region. It is one of Victoria's largest regional health services with one of the busiest hospitals in the state, University Hospital. We serve over 500,000 people through the efforts of over 8000 staff and more than 1200 volunteers. We provide care at all stages of life and circumstance through a wide range of services from emergency and acute care, mental health, primary care, community services, aged care and sub-acute rehabilitation.

The Clinical Education and Training unit leads an integrated approach to clinical education and training helping Barwon Health to achieve its education goals by delivering, supporting and promoting coordinated, quality education and training across healthcare roles in the Barwon South West region. We comprise of an inter professional team of educators and support staff across Allied Health, Nursing and Midwifery and Medical disciplines working together to develop clinicians who model excellent practice, challenge poor practice and inspire others.

About the role 

To facilitate educational programs, materials and opportunities for clinicians within the Emergency specialty areas and other areas of Barwon Health, working in collaboration with the wider Clinical Education and Training Unit. To facilitate the clinical component of the Post Graduate Emergency Nursing Program and support the development of the year 2 and 3 programs specialising in emergency nursing.
