About the facility

University Hospital Geelong provides health care services and inpatient care for the Geelong and wider Western Victorian region. The Central Resource Unit are recruiting Ward Clerks to work on a variety of inpatient units.

About this role

Multiple Roles and hours available example of shift times below

4.00 pm-7.00pm Monday to Friday

1.30 pm-7.00pm Monday to Friday

9.30 - 1.30 Saturday and Sundays

In this role as a Ward Clerk you will be responsible for the following though not limited to:

  • Provision of clerical and reception services in a confidential and accurate manner, in accordance with Barwon Health policies and procedures.
  • Contributing to and assisting the Nurse unit Manager and Nurse in Charge in maintaining efficient reception service delivery
  • Providing accurate Patient Registration details and updating Consumer demographic information.
  • Utilising Barwon Health IT systems to ensure accurate development of patient related documentation.
  • Assisting the Multidisciplinary team by maintaining accurate estimated dates of discharge and patient journey board updates.
