BMI is the leading provider of imaging services in the Geelong region, BMI has provided an MRI service for 14 years. The MRI facility provides a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to work with state of the art MRI technology including a 3 Tesla Siemens Prisma and 1.5 Tesla Siemens Avanto, which have recently undergone upgrades to the latest technology.

About the role

BMI are now seeking a suitably qualified radiology trainee to join its’ dynamic team, to undertake 12 month advanced training in Magnetic Resonance Imaging whilst still participating in provision of broad diagnostic imaging services. 

This position provides a recently qualified radiology candidate with advanced training in all aspects of clinical MRI (with an emphasis on neurological and musculoskeletal MRI). The objective of the program is to provide training in routine and state-of-the-art MRI techniques. BMI performs all facets of MR imaging and has an experienced and enthusiastic group of MR radiologists. 
In addition to the clinical aspects of MRI, a component of this position will be an opportunity to participate in a research project in the area of MRI. The successful applicants will also assist in general reporting and participate in the on call roster for the Medical Imaging Department.

Essential: Successful completion of Radiology Registrar training program i.e. RANZCR program if in “new FRANZCR training program”
Essential: Eligible to undertake an advanced training position as per the RANZCR radiodiagnosis curriculum criteria or completed radiology training overseas
