Join a team that recognises the value of occupational therapy in delirium management, pressure care prevention and discharge planning. Our medical service offers the opportunity to work collaborative within a multidisciplinary team. 

We are seeking applications from suitably experienced and AHPRA eligible clinicians for the positions of Occupational Therapist Grade 2 to join our growing allied health general medical 7 day per week service at University Hospital Geelong.

These part time Grade 2 occupational therapy positions includes:

  • Access to senior clinical staff for support, mentoring and professional development.
  • Engagement with a large Occupational Therapy department with a strong culture of student education, clinical research and innovation.
  • Additional financial rewards with pay and leave.

80 hours per fortnight available to cover two shifts on each of Saturday and Sunday and limited weekday shifts. Variable weekend roster negotiable e.g. alternate weekends, Saturday only

About the facility

Barwon Health Occupational Therapy Service promotes and provides leadership and excellence in clinical practice, clinical education and in research and development activities. The service is provided to all wards of University Hospital Geelong. This service covers a wide range of clinical areas including; Surgical, Medical, Orthopaedics, Neurology, Paediatrics and Emergency. The main focus of occupational therapy intervention is to facilitate and enable clients to achieve maximum independence and safety in their daily living skills. Occupational therapy considers the impact of physical, cognitive and psychological impairment on activities of daily living.

Essential: Degree in Occupational Therapy from an Australian Occupational Therapist Council accredited course.
Essential: Current national registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency.
