About the facility

Within Barwon Health, the Mental Health Directorate is a forward-looking unit with a vision to be at the leading edge of psychiatric treatment and analysis in Australia. This unit is currently looking for experienced Consultant Psychiatrists to work either in an inpatient environment (at least 3-4 years’ experience as a consultant), or an experienced psychiatrist looking to take on one of their experienced community mental health teams.

About the role

Reporting to a Lead Psychiatrist (and ultimately to the Clinical Director), you will be a natural leader, collaborative and committed to being part of a larger team of around 25 VMO and full-time psychiatrists. You will also have a strong background in the training and supervision of registrars and medical students.

Applicants must hold the FRANZCP, be accredited as a supervisor by the RANZCP, and be registered with general or specialist medical registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
