About Barwon Health
Formed in 1998, Barwon Health is one of the largest and most comprehensive regional health services in Australia. We are Victoria’s largest regional health service with one of the busiest hospitals in the state, University Hospital Geelong. Barwon Health is the major regional health provider for the Barwon South West Region, serving over 500,000 people across a geographically dispersed area.
Barwon Health is the largest employer in the Geelong and Surf Coast region, providing diverse services through the efforts of over 6,500 staff and more than 1,300 volunteers. These services are delivered to the community across 21 key locations, with a total of 1016 beds, stretching from Geelong down the coast to Anglesea, Torquay and Lorne.
Barwon Health provides care at all stages of life and circumstances through a wide range of services across primary care, community services, aged care, subacute/rehabilitation medicine, mental health network, emergency medicine and acute medicine services. With the exception of neurosurgery and transplantation services, virtually all other specialties are available through the University Hospital Geelong. We have a dedicated clinical education and training department giving you access to opportunities to improve your knowledge and skill base.

About the Role
Barwon Health provides opportunities for a broad range of experience for geriatric medicine trainees in a well-supported environment. Rotations include community (ACAS, Residential In-Reach, domiciliary TCP program), GEM, Orthogeriatrics Service, Acute Hospital Consults Service and Specialist clinics (including CDAMS, Continence Service, Falls and Balance Clinic and General Geriatric Medicine CRC clinic).
