About the facility
Our team of 18 Dietitians at University Hospital cover all clinical specialties, both inpatient and outpatients. Some of these services include assessment of Nutritional status, Nutritional deficiencies and specialist nutrition and dietary services to patients with a wide range of medical conditions.
About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Grade 1 Dietitian to join the Dietetics department at University Hospital Geelong. In this role your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Providing high quality nutritional and dietetic services to patients, clients and customers of Barwon Health.
- Contributing to meeting relevant performance indicators (KPI’s)
- Contributing to, and being part of, relevant ward-based multidisciplinary teams , in order to support clients and carers to achieve an optimum level of health independence through:
- Comprehensive, co-ordinated and integrated multidisciplinary services
- Provision of client–centred care from a broad range of backgrounds
- Contributing to the development and delivery of high quality, cost effective community-based dietetics services.
- All activities of the position will reflect current best practice and professional standards for nutrition and dietetics. You will operate according to relevant legislation, Barwon Health policies, and program and department guidelines.
- This role will be located within University Hospital Geelong, but may be moved to other Barwon Health locations depending on service delivery needs. This position will also require flexibility in availability to support service delivery initiatives.
