About the facility 

StaffCare is a part of Barwon Health, offering an onsite health service.  At Barwon Health we are committed to caring for the carers supporting staff health and wellbeing by offering a range of comprehensive services. StaffCare is an accredited general practice, staffed by GPs, physiotherapists, practice nurses, a practice manager and receptionists. Staff care provides a range of services to support the health and wellbeing of our valued staff, including the work wellness program and comprehensive vaccination program. The service is instrumental in achieving high levels of staff vaccinations, which ensures the safety of vulnerable consumers. The service recently achieved accreditation under the new National Safety and Quality Health Care standards. The services are available to all staff, volunteers, students, temporary and locum staff, and contractors.  StaffCare is conveniently located onsite at University Hospital Geelong

About the role

With your Deep experience in managing a general practice you will effectively manage the day-to-day operations of the StaffCare clinic including: human resources, financial, customer service, compliance / legislative systems and implement quality systems. 

The Practice Manager will;

  • co-ordinate with a number of Barwon Health departments to ensure high quality care and services are delivered in a timely and cost efficient manner.
  • oversee and ensure an effective, efficiently functioning staff clinic (within its remit) and the TAC staff clinic
  • identify and implement improvement initiatives.  
  • support the timely establishment and operation of nominated clinics / services such as Covid Testing / immunisation hubs and Flu vaccination clinics, including after hours.
