About Barwon Health

Barwon Health is the major regional health provider for the Barwon South West region. It is Victoria’s largest regional health service with one of the busiest hospitals in the state, University Hospital. About the role

Are you experienced in clerical or administrative tasks, with an interest in the digital environment? An exciting permanent part-time opportunity has opened to join our well recognised Information Services Department based at The University Hospital Geelong.

Information Services manages the clinical records of Barwon Health within a digital environment as well as managing historical records and release of information requests within relevant policies and legislation.

In this role you will provide an efficient customer focused information services and contribute to the successful performance of the department.

In order to shine in this role you will need to have strong IT skills, a positive 'can do' attitude, the proven ability to manage priorities and have experience in service delivery. Health record and relevant legislation knowledge will also be highly regarded.

Selection Criteria Essential: Are you team focused with a positive attitude and well-developed communication and interpersonal skills that will allow open communication in areas outside the department?
Essential: Do you have strong IT skills and can demonstrate knowledge of various IT platforms, with an interest in ongoing development to support progression into a digital environment?
Essential: Are you available to cover planned and unplanned leave outside of your rostered hours in both day and afternoon shifts including weekday and weekends?
Essential: Do you have the ability to manage your tasking within a high demand workflow situation while also having the flexibility to work independently and problem solve with minimum guidance?
Essential: Do you have a demonstrated ability to think laterally and are solution focused?
Essential: Do you have high level service delivery experience in line with Barwon Health values?
