About the facility 

Barwon Health has five major community health centres, Corio, Belmont, Newcomb, Torquay and Anglesea which provide a range of services to the Barwon region. Services provided by the Newcomb Community Health Centre include podiatry, physiotherapy, psychology, social work, nutrition, speech pathology, community health nursing and occupational therapy. Barwon Health Community Nursing is a HACC funded service and also provides care for clients requiring Hospital in the Home, Post-Acute and Palliative care.

About the role

Are you a Grade 3 Registered Nurse looking to further develop your career at the largest regional health care service in Victoria? Do you have well developed communication and interpersonal skills and proven ability to support change? An exciting opportunity is available within Barwon Health for an enthusiastic Community Nurse.

In your role as a Grade 3 Community (District) Nurse you will be responsible for the provision of patient focused holistic nursing care to those assigned to you, in order to achieve desired clinical outcomes. You will participate in the nursing service in areas of defined specialist nursing practice. Your role will be within this professional and friendly department where teamwork is paramount and primary nursing is encouraged. You will have highly developed interpersonal skills as well as sound communication skills both verbal and written.
