  • Working as part of the Intensive Care education team within the Centre for Education and Training.

About the Centre for Education and Training

The Centre for Education and Training leads an integrated approach to clinical education and training, helping Barwon Health to achieve its education goals by delivering, supporting and promoting coordinated, quality education and training across health care roles in Barwon Health and the Barwon South Western region. We comprise of an inter-professional team of clinical educators and support staff across allied health, nursing, midwifery, and medical disciplines, working together to develop clinicians who model excellent practice, challenge poor practice, and inspire others

About the role 

To develop, facilitate and coordinate the education and training pathways for Barwon Health's Intensive Care Department utilising contemporary evidence based educational methods and delivery. To model excellence in practice and provide education programs and support that will foster the delivery of safe care and excellence in care.

Essential: Registered Nurse with AHPRA and NMBA
Essential: Post graduate qualifications in Education (Masters or working towards)
Essential: Demonstrated clinical excellence and extensive consolidation in the clinical setting
Essential: Extensive recent intensive care experience and well established intensive care nursing skills and knowledge
Essential: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Essential: Collaborative and team focussed
Essential: High level organisational skills
Essential: Ability to work independantly
Essential: Post Graduate qualification in Critical Care nursing.
