Barwon Health Junior Medical Workforce Unit is seeking an experienced and motivated administrator to join the team at University Hospital Geelong.

Your role within the Junior Medical Workforce Unit works directly with Junior Medical Officers and Medical Specialists on a daily basis. You must have the capacity to engage in a proactive manner with a range of medical and non-medical staff.

The position is a critical part of the Junior Medical Workforce Unit - a small but highly efficient and effective unit that manages approximately 450 individual doctors from a non-clinical perspective.

In this role you will ensure rostering of Junior Medical Officers is completed in an accurate and timely manner, ensure, in events of unplanned absences / leave, there are sufficient suitably qualified and experienced staff available to meet service requirements as well as undertake the clerical roles involved with the coding of salary payments .

Selection Criteria Essential: Has proven ability to manage demnding situations in a diverse range of scenarios.
Essential: Extensive experience in the accurate rostering of staff
Desirable: Experience working in and knowledge of the health/medical sector
Essential: Has held and been successful in a previous position with conflicting demands and tight timeframes
Essential: Advanced competance levels in the use of computers including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Desirable: Diploma / Degree in Business, Administration, Human Resources or similar
