About the facility
Barwon Health’s McKellar Centre is a recently upgraded facility located only minutes from the centre of Geelong. The centre is a 100 bed inpatient facility offering rehabilitation in Palliative care, Geriatric evaluation and management, Stroke, Trauma, orthopaedic and amputee service. The McKellar Centre offers a range of professional rehabilitation and aged care services. It is situated on a vibrant community asset with parkland surrounds and incorporates state of the art equipment.
About the role
The successful applicant will be responsible for psychological assessment and consumer-centred intervention within the inpatient and community rehabilitation centres. This role is responsible for ensuring contemporary evidence-based psychology services for rehabilitation clients within this setting. You will also be required to provide consultation to the rehabilitation team in relation to psychological issues associated with injury or medical conditions with the aim of maximizing the efficacy of the full range of rehabilitation interventions delivered.
