About the role
We are currently seeking a dedicated professional for an exciting and important role in which you will lead and work with around 60 volunteer Consumer Representatives. As the successful applicant you will be suitably qualified with proven experience in consultation, leadership and group facilitation. In this role you will require the ability to work with volunteers, motivate others, implement change and have excellent interpersonal skills.

Selection Criteria
|
Essential: University degree qualification (or higher degree) in Health Sciences, Marketing/Communications, Community Development, or related Desirable: Education, small group training or demonstrated equivalent qualification Essential: Experience in staff and community engagement at a management level Essential: Extensive knowledge of health literacy, user centred design, universal accessibility principles and an awareness of the communication access needs of people with disabilities and from diverse backgrounds Essential: Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work in a consultative way Essential: High-level organisational and analytical skills, and the ability to manage a dynamic work flow with flexibility as well as working autonomously Essential: Proven effective leadership and project management skills and qualities, including the ability to motivate and coordinate others Desirable: Knowledge of the health sector, health services accreditation processes, trends in partnering with health consumers and working with volunteers Essential: Experience in group facilitation and working collaboratively with diverse groups Essential: Demonstrated ability to innovate, identify improvements, find solutions to problems and implement change Desirable: Well-developed critical appraisal skills, and the ability to handle, analyse, interpret, and present information and data to support evidence-based decision making
