About the Facility

The Department of Renal Medicine at Barwon Health provides care for all patients with primary or secondary kidney disease, electrolyte disorders, hypertension, Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) 2-5, dialysis and transplant related problems. It also provides training, support and home maintenance for night-time home haemodialysis (HD) machines that are used in the home of patients

About the Role

We are looking for suitably qualified and enthusiastic people, who have a keen interest in experiencing renal nursing, to join our team in the area of home dialysis. 

In this role, you will work as part of the home dialysis team (as well as autonomously) in the training, education, and ongoing support of all patients undergoing dialysis treatment at home, both peritoneal dialysis and nocturnal haemodialyis. You will assist the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), Associate Nurse Unit Managers (ANUM) and fellow colleagues in the promotion of a safe, educative and efficient training and working environment.
