About the facility
Barwon Mental Health, Drugs and Alcohol Services (MHDAS) Harm Reduction Team is a community based service that is part of the mental health drugs and alcohol directorate. We provide; pharmacotherapy assessments, needle syringe programs, Naloxone training and provision, overdose reduction program, education and information on pertinent harm reduction strategies and a range of projects relating to reducing harms associated with substance use. We provide information and secondary consultation to service providers. DAS staff work closely with the other AOD services in the region and acute and community mental health services as well as services in the University Hospital Geelong, acute, subacute and community health services.
About the role
Barwon Health is excited to offer an opportunity to provide leadership within the Drugs and Alcohol Service (DAS) Harm Reduction Team, providing line management, support, supervision and manage day to day work flow. The successful candidate will also progress current harm reduction initiatives.
