Part of a Team
Barwon Health’s Geelong Cardiology Practice provides comprehensive cardiology services to patients from across the region. Our facilities include two new Cath labs, providing EP, Pacing and 24/7 STEMI services, a full cardiac diagnostics and Interventional Angiography monitoring services
Geelong Cardiology Practice is committed to delivering personalised, high quality health care to patients in the hospital setting as well as via their Private Consultation clinic, enabling a continuum of care for patients and their families.
About the Role
As the Cardiologist you will ensure the provision of high quality, timely, appropriate specialist cardiology services as part of Barwon Health.
Duties of the role include but are not limited to:
- Acting as a specialist in the cardiology inpatient unit and undertaking direct clinical care duties within the service, both public and private.
- Participation in the cardiology after hours on call service aligned with specialist interest and qualification.
- Regular review of clinical documentation to ensure it is at appropriate and acceptable standard to allow accurate DRG coding to be completed.
- Teaching cardiology registrars, junior doctors and medical students to provide appropriate education in cardiology
