About the role 

As the OHS  Coordinator - Occupational Violence and Aggression (OVA) – Prevention and Management, you will lead the implementation of Barwon Health’s OVA Action Plan working within the OHS team. As the successful applicant you will preferably have a relevant health care related qualification and experience working in health care. You will also possess experience in developing and delivering effective and engaging training packages. Key deliverables of the role include review of Barwon Health’s OVA training program; development and delivery of OVA training; review of Barwon Health’s OVA and Code Grey/Black procedures and conducting detailed OVA incident investigations. You will work collaboratively with managers, HSRs and other employees to implement a risk management approach aimed at preventing and managing Occupational Violence and Aggression across the organisation.

Selection Criteria Essential: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or working towards completion.
Desirable: A relevant health related qualification and experience working in health care.
Desirable: A qualification in OHS.
Essential: Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing training programs.
Desirable: Occupational Health and Safety experience in the Health Sector.
Desirable: Experience in developing and implementing training programs in the area of prevention and management of Occupational Violence and Aggression.
Desirable: Incident investigation experience.
