About the facility
The Barwon Health ICU is a 24-bed ICU, providing tertiary critical care services to the Barwon South Western region. The ICU cares for medical, surgical, and cardiothoracic adults, as well as collaborative programs to care for adult ECMO and critically ill children. The ICU runs the deteriorating patient program, and supplies a central vascular access and critical care echocardiography service to Barwon Health. The ICU is actively involved in clinical research, critical care education for Deakin School of Medicine, and education and training of junior doctors.
About the role
The Director of ICU will work closely with the Executive and Senior Management to ensure smooth coordination of all medical / clinical aspects of the ICU enabling the provision of a high quality, safe and efficient service.
The Director will be required to provide co-ordination and support to Executive and Senior Management in relation to craft group issues and contribute to productivity improvement by working collaboratively with stakeholders to enable satisfactory solutions.
