About the facility 

The Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT department at The University Hospital Geelong undertakes a diverse range of procedures and studies within a public and private health setting.

The PET/CT facility is a custom built department that is serviced by a Siemens mCT system. The department operates using both KARL and Intego injectors and manufactures Gallium DOTA and PSMA on site within our Hot Cell. The PET/CT department runs diabetic clinics via our Radiopharmacist. The Department also participates in SIRT Therapy procedures.

Our Nuclear Medicine Department comprises of a GE 670 Discovery (SPECT/CT) and a GE 870DR (SPECT/CT). The Department has a fully equipped Radiopharmacy laboratory which undertakes reconstitution of radiopharmaceuticals, dispensing of patient doses and all relevant quality control mechanisms. Further studies such as blood labels and other cold laboratory duties are also part of our role.

Barwon Health has an extensive cohort of specialists and as such the range of studies seen within our Nuclear Medicine Department is diverse.

About the role 

Barwon Medical Imaging are seeking a professional and dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist. The role of our Nuclear Medicine Technologists are to provide excellent service delivery to ensure the desired outcomes both in a patient setting and in a laboratory setting. The successful applicant will participate across all areas of the department's roster throughout PET/CT, Nuclear Medicine, Radiopharmacy, overtime and on-call.

The successful applicant will be classified as either Grade 1 or Grade 2; dependent on their experience level and the holding of a recognised CT qualification on a Victorian Radiation Use Licence.
