About the facility
McKellar Centre provides comprehensive inpatient amputee rehabilitation services to patients from the broader South-west region of Victoria. With a responsive and dynamic prosthetics and orthotics service on-site and a full multidisciplinary team, the amputee rehabilitation team is able to provide excellent clinical care to the full range of amputee presentations. McKellar Centre has state-of-the-art treatment gyms that enhance the amputee rehabilitation experience for our patients.
About the role

In addition, the position is responsible for providing guidance and support to staff in amputee related matters external to McKellar Centre and Barwon Health. The role will also require close liaison with the outpatient amputee physiotherapist at McKellar Centre. Due to the fluctuating numbers of amputee rehabilitation inpatients, the successful applicant will be expected to support the broader physiotherapy rehabilitation team on South Wing of the IRC when amputee numbers are low. This will include working with orthopaedic and general rehabilitation patients.
The successful applicant will be have significant experience in the management of amputee rehabilitation patients with demonstrated high level organisational and teamwork skills.
