About the facility 

University Hospital Geelong, situated on the corner of Bellerine and Ryrie streets, has a full suite of medical and surgical services, including cardiothoracic surgery and is one of the busiest hospitals in the state. It is general medical and surgical teaching hospital affiliated with The University of Melbourne and Deakin University with obstetric, paediatric and psychiatric beds.

About the role 

This Customer Services Officer role performs Reception duties in our busy Emergency Department, as well as being responsible for the administration of patient admissions through the ED. The CSO provides clerical support to the medical and nursing staff in the ED in the delivery of acute urgent care for the Geelong and Regional community. 
You will be trained in the use of our iPM Patient Management system and in the SYMPHONY Emergency Information system.

The Customer Services Department at Barwon Health encompasses ED Reception,  Perioperative & Admissions Office,  Cashiers and Enquiries, Patient Accounts University Hospital Geelong  and Patient Accounts McKellar Centre. We employ approximately 60 staff dedicated to providing services 24/7, 365 days a year.
