About the facility 

Barwon Health, Central Resource Unit (CRU) provides emergent and non-emergent nursing staff replacement for all bed based services. We provide staffing resources to meet every day operational needs of clinical units for nursing and support staff for bed based units across Barwon Health. 

About the role 

The After Hours Hospital Manager is a senior nursing management role responsible for managing patient flow systems, monitoring performance and effective staff allocation out of hours.

Duties of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Provide clinical and non-clinical staff support with effective and skilled leadership
  • Ensure that optimal patient flow from the Emergency department is achieved at all times 
  • Ensure all other bed based services receive appropriate admissions after hours as per current guidelines.
  • Act as a resource for nursing staff and hospital personnel by answering queries or referring concerns to appropriate persons
