The Andrew Love Cancer Centre offers a comprehensive radiotherapy service using Varian Truebeam linear accelerators, Eclipse treatment planning system, and Aria record and verify system. Services delivered by the department includes:

  • Stereotactic treatments
  • IMRT and VMAT
  • 4DCT and gated treatments
  • IGRT – planar kV, CBCT, and EPI
  • Knowledge based planning
  • Flattening Filter Free Beams
  • Superficial treatments

About the role

As a Radiation Oncology Medical Physics Registrar you will complete the radiation oncology medical physics training, education and assessment program to become a radiation oncology certified medical physics specialist.

Essential: Undergraduate degree in physics/medical physics/engineering
Essential: Enrolment in or ability to enrol in the ACPSEM Training, Education and Accreditation Program (TEAP)
Essential: Australian citizenship or permanent residency
Essential: Demonstrate strong personal initiative
Essential: Willingness to work irregular hours/overtime as necessary
Desirable: Post-graduate degree in medical physics
Desirable: Experience in radiation oncology
Desirable: Evidence of commitment to TEAP and a career in radiation oncology
Desirable: Demonstrated ability to produce work of a high professional standard
