About the facility 

Barwon health is the major regional health provider for the Barwon South West region. It is Victoria’s largest regional health service with one of the busiest hospitals in the state, University Hospital. We serve over 500,000 people through the efforts of over 7,000 staff and more than 1000 volunteers. We provide care at all stages or life and circumstance through a wide range of services from emergency and acute to mental health, primary care, community services, aged care, and subacute/rehabilitation. Care is provided to the community through over 21 key locations throughout the region.

Heath Wing 7 is a 33 bed General Medicine Ward, which encompasses Respiratory Medicine and General Medicine is seeking a Ward Clerk to join their health care team.

About the role 

As the ward clerk on Heath Wing 7 you will be responsible for the delivery of consumer focused administrative support, ensuring equity of access on the ward and to assist the multidisciplinary team by providing efficient administrative support. You will be required to communicate with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team so must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

As the successful applicant will need to be proficient in Barwon Health IT systems such as iPMS, BOSSnet, BEIMS, Patient bookings and Microsoft Office tools.
