About the role

This is an exciting Project Lead opportunity for a Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist who has experience in cancer care, to design, implement and evaluate the effectiveness and sustainability of a brand new Pilot Prehabilitation in Cancer Care Program. The Prehabilitation in Cancer Care Program aims to deliver timely, individualised, evidence based exercise programs for clients in the Prehabilitation phase of their cancer in the tumour streams of Lung, Colorectal and Myeloma within Barwon Health’s Community Rehabilitation Setting.

About the facility

The Project Lead Role will be based at Belmont Community Rehabilitation Centre surrounded by a highly skilled, cohesive, interdisciplinary team with access to the well-equipped gym, specialist equipment and private consult rooms.  The implementation phase of the Prehabilitation in Cancer Program may use other Barwon Health Community Settings such as the new state of the art Sunrise Centre housed at GMHBA stadium.

Essential: Degree in Physiotherapy from an Australian Physiotherapy Council accredited course or Accredited Exercise Physiologist with Exercise Sports Science Australia.

Essential: Eligible for full membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association or Exercise and Sports Science Australia.
