About the facility

Barwon health is the major regional health provider for the Barwon South West region. It is one of Victoria’s largest regional health service with one of the busiest hospitals in the state, University Hospital. We serve over 500,000 people through the efforts of over 8,000 staff and more than 1200 volunteers. We provide care at all stages or life and circumstance through a wide range of services from emergency and acute to mental health, primary care, community services, aged care, and subacute/rehabilitation. Care is provided to the community through over 28 key locations throughout the region.

Barwon Health Commercial Finance is responsible for the management of all financial aspects of the organisation, including internal and external reporting. The Finance Department offers a positive, vibrant and friendly work environment that actively encourages initiative and new ideas.

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will work in partnership with Operational Managers to ensure sound financial management, accurate budgeting/planning, forecasting and the delivery of high quality reporting. You will coordinate end-to-end budget processes, including preparation in-line with Annual Budget Guidelines and coordinate stakeholders to ensure timely completion of budgets.

Essential: Bachelor Degree or Higher in Accounting/Commerce
Essential: Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand (ICAANZ) and/or Certified Practising Accountants of Australia (CPA) or international equivalent (or working towards one)
Essential: Demonstrated financial analysis and management accounting experience.
