About the facility

Barwon Health’s McKellar Centre is a recently upgraded facility located only minutes from the centre of Geelong. The centre is a 100 bed inpatient facility offering rehabilitation in Palliative care, Geriatric evaluation and management, Stroke, Trauma, orthopaedic and amputee service. The McKellar Centre offers a range of professional aged care services. It is situated on a vibrant community asset with parkland surrounds and incorporates state of the art equipment.

About the role

Are you wishing to step into leadership and management?  Do you have the necessary skills to motivate and lead a diverse and passionate team?  We are seeking to fill the position Manager Palliative Care.  This role is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership and management of the people, resources and practice standards of the Palliative Care Program. This is a key leadership position, which works closely with the Regional Clinical Director Palliative Care to further develop the clinical, academic and research directions for the Palliative Care Program.  This role will also be required to maintain, and where necessary establish, systems, protocols and procedures to enable effective and efficient service delivery which accords with clinical governance and funding requirements.
