About the Role
As the Director of Medical Services you will support and work closely with the Chief Medical Officer in providing the following:
- Clinical governance and professional leadership to medical staff across Barwon Health
- Professional leadership to medical staff across Barwon Health and expert medical administrative advice to the Barwon Health Chief Executive and other members of the executive
- Professional oversight and fostering of safe, high quality care, clinical governance, continuous quality improvement and transparency
- Support to the clinical directors leadership team
- In addition as the Director of Medical Services you will be required to:
- Support clinical governance activities across Barwon Health
- Support the Medical Workforce Unit
- Support Medical Workforce in the coordination of Senior Medical Staff Credentialing
- Supporting Medical Education and Training Unit
- Undertake projects relevant to medical administration, from time to time, as directed by the Chief Medical Officer
