- Facilitate the learning and development of a high functioning team (Temporary Full Time – 80 hrs per fortnight for until 30th June 2023)

About the facility
Barwon Public Health Unit is part of the Victoria's Local Public Health Units working with the Department of Health to keep their local communities healthy, safe and well.
They use local knowledge, community-based relationships and direct engagement to effectively tailor and deliver public health initiatives and respond to incidents and issues within their local area.
Barwon Public Health Unit was established in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic to manage local cases and outbreaks of COVID-19. From July 2022, the unit has begun undertaking additional public health responsibilities for various other notifiable conditions.
About the role
As the Clinical Educator for the Public Health Unit your responsibilities will include the following:
- Planning, developing, facilitating and evaluating education and training activities for clinical staff within the Public Health Unit that achieves practice and performance that is consistent with policies, procedures and evidence based research
- Utilising contemporary evidence based educational methods and delivery
- Providing direct clinical support and guidance to staff in line with information from the Department of Health
- Assisting the development and implementation of education and training programs to support additional public health functions as the Barwon PHU expands over time.
To be successful in this role you will be required to have the following qualifications and experience:
- Relevant clinical and education postgraduate qualification, or working towards
- Demonstrated clinical excellence, critical thinking and commitment to learning and teaching
- Significant level of clinical skills and high level of clinical competence
- Experience in developing, reviewing and writing training materials including review of the evidence based practice literature
- Experience and knowledge in contemporary approaches to education planning and delivery including simulation, online learning and blended methodologies
- Ability to respond to, implement and support sustainable practice change
- Adaptive and flexibly to respond to change
- Demonstrate sensitivity, empathy and respect for the customs, values and spiritual beliefs of others at all times
