About Barwon Health
Barwon health is the major regional health provider for the Barwon South West region. It is Victoria’s largest regional health service with one of the busiest hospitals in the state, University Hospital. We serve over 500,000 people through the efforts of over 6,500 staff and more than 1000 volunteers. We provide care at all stages or life and circumstance through a wide range of services from emergency and acute to mental health, primary care, community services, aged care, and subacute/rehabilitation.

As a Casual Staff member, you are welcome to work across a range of sites and a variety of specialty bed based services commensurate with your qualifications, skills and experience. At University Hospital Geelong, Barwon Health provides Acute Medical, Acute Surgical, Maternity, Special Care Nursery, ED, Operating Services, ICU, CCU, Paediatrics and Oncology. Barwon Health McKellar Centre offers Inpatient Rehabilitation, Palliative Care and Residential Aged Care.

The Barwon Health Casual Nursing bank is managed by The Central Resource Unit which provides 7 day support for our staff from 0600-2200 hours.
Our web based staffing system (CASCOM) will match shifts according to your skills, location, preferences and availability allowing flexibility between your work and lifestyle. CASCOM provides fair and equitable allocation of shifts and uses mobile SMS technology to confirm shift location and times.
