About the facility
Bellerine Centre 6 North provides a supportive environment that encourages professional growth and education in our specialist areas of renal, gastroenterology and chronic pain management. BC6N is a 24 bed ward with a mix of 20 Specialty Medicine and General Medicine beds and 4 beds that can be used flexibly in response to community demand. The ward is centrally located at University Hospital in Geelong only a short walk from our vibrant waterfront, botanical gardens, and cosmopolitan CBD with an array of festivities on offer.
About the role
We are looking for a qualified Patient Service Assistant to join the team on BC6N, 52 permanent hours per fortnight.
As a ward based Patient Services Assistant, you will be required to perform a number of different tasks associated with the general servicing of the ward. You will work in a team responsible for food services, transport, cleaning and the maintenance of a safe ward environment. You will also be required to assist the nursing staff with hygiene and patient care. You will have direct contact with patients in the ward areas where you will be required to communicate effectively with patients, families and other staff members.
