About Our Facility

Operating Services comprises of 10 operating theatres in the main complex and 2 theatres and an endoscopy room in the day procedure centre. We perform approximately 22,000 procedures per year across both areas. The day procedure centre focusses on a variety of specialities including Gastroenterology, General Surgery, ENT and Ophthalmology.

Our mission is to ensure the right equipment and resource is available to the right patient at the right time in the right place. We are dedicated to improving access and patient flow to provide a sustainable service that ensures high quality and safe care.

About the Role

As the Associate Nurse Unit Manager – Operating Services you will ensure the effective provision of patient care in the assistance of nursing staff in the areas of patient welfare, comfort, hygiene and transport in order to achieve and maintain quality patient outcomes.

Duties of your role include but not limited to:

  • Effective daily allocation of staff resources to required areas on ward to ensure skills mix
  • Demonstrates a sound problem-solving approach to patient access without compromising quality or patient outcomes
  • Promote a standard of consumer-centred care which meets professional, organisational, legal and ethical requirements to ensure the personal and professional treatment of patients
