About the role

We are seeking an Exercise Physiologist with experience in cardiac rehabilitation to work with our interdisciplinary team to deliver Barwon Health's part of a state-wide digital cardiac rehabilitation project.

This role will work closely with the project lead to trial use of 'Cardihab' with a diverse range of cardiac rehabilitation clients.

The role will be based across the McKellar Community Rehabilitation Centre and the Sunrise Centre.

Essential: Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise Science or Human Movement) or equivalent
Essential: Post graduate studies in exercise rehabilitation or clinical exercise physiology
Essential: Eligible for membership to ESSA as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist
Essential: Current Victorian Drivers Licence
Desirable: Senior First Aid Certificate & Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) trained
Desirable: Eligible for Full Membership with Exercise Sports Science Australia (ESSA) as an Exercise Scientist
Essential: Clinical knowledge and experience in exercise prescription (both land and water based) in the designated clinical area
Essential: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in an inter-disciplinary team with a clear client focus.
Essential: Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with service providers in the local community.
Essential: Demonstrated understanding of human movement, motor control and skill acquisition in relation to returning to physical activity after injury or illness.
Essential: Effective time management and prioritisation skills.
