About the facility
Barwon Health has five major community health centres, Corio, Belmont, Newcomb, Torquay and Anglesea which provide a range of services to the Barwon region. The Belmont Community Health Centre’s services include counselling, diabetic educators, physiotherapy, nursing, occupational therapy, speech pathology dental services and many more. Belmont Primary Care is located at the recently redeveloped Belmont Community Health Centre. The centre is shared with numerous teams including community rehabilitation, community nursing, and immunisation, dental and mental health. It is a fabulous opportunity to work closely with these other co-located teams.
Belmont Community Health Centre (CHC) reception renovated to accommodate dental reception due to number of ‘behaviour of concern’ incidents in the open-plan dental reception.
About the role
A part time podiatrist is required to contribute to and be part of the community - based multidisciplinary community health team to support consumers and carers to achieve an optimum level of health independence through:
- Comprehensive, co-ordinated and integrated multidisciplinary services,
- Provision of consumer –centred care to community members from a broad range of backgrounds.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of high quality, cost effective community-based podiatry services.
- Contribute to meeting the program and community health team key performance indicators (KPI’s).
All activities of the position will reflect current best practice standards for podiatry. The position will operate according to relevant legislation, Barwon Health policies, and program and department guidelines.
Note: This is a temporary part time opportunity until May 2020
