About the facility

The Physiotherapy Department provides services to a wide range of clinical areas. Physiotherapy is predominantly inpatient focused with some outpatient services provided in orthopaedics, paediatrics and women's health.

About the role

We are seeking applications from suitably experienced and qualified clinicians for the position of Physiotherapist Grade 3 – Clinical Education at Barwon Health.

As the successful candidate you will be responsible for the development and coordination of the physiotherapy undergraduate and postgraduate Clinical Education Programmes at the McKellar Centre and University Hospital Geelong. You will work closely with the existing Senior Clinician - Clinical Education in the provision of student clinical education mentoring and support to Physiotherapists across Barwon Health.

This important role requires you to possess excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal aptitudes. Additionally, extensive knowledge and experience in the delivery of academic and/or clinical education programs is essential. Advanced clinical skills and a high level of commitment to best practice in patient care is a must.

Ideally this role would be combined with an existing employees substantive hours such that clinical education duties could be provided to staff and students throughout the week.

Essential: Degree in Physiotherapy from an Australian Physiotherapy Council accredited course.
Essential: Current national registration as a physiotherapist with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency.

Essential: Extensive knowledge and experience in the delivery of academic and/or clinical education programs
Desirable: Post-graduate qualifications in an area relevant to clinical education.
Desirable: Experience in clinical research.
