About the facility 

The Strengthening Hospital Responses to Family Violence (SHRFV) Project relates to Recommendation 95 of the Royal Commission into Family Violence. The SHRFV project commenced at Barwon Health in early 2018, with the intention to increase the skills and confidence of staff, develop and share resources and build hospital capacity to better respond to family violence. The project scope incorporates the implementation of the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management (MARAM) Framework (Recommendation 01) and Information Sharing Schemes (FVISS and CISS). MARAM, clearly articulates the capabilities that workforces need to achieve to ensure effective responses to victim survivors of family violence and perpetrators of family violence.

This position is based within Barwon Health’s Social Work Department and the Allied Health Division. This role will be physically based at Barwon Health but provide outreach mentoring and advice to Colac Area Health, Hesse Rural Health and Great Ocean Road health via phone, email, tele- conferencing and where required site visits.

About the role  

The SHRFV Evaluation Officer is a fixed term position till 30th June 2023 and is responsible for provision of support to both the SHRFV family violence practice lead and the SHRFV regional officer to:  develop and conduct an evaluation of the SHRFV activity for 22/23 and identify the work that is required to sustain our alignment to the MARAM post SHRFV.  Evaluation needs to occur of both the Barwon Health work and the activity at Colac Area Health, Hesse Rural health and Great Ocean Road Health. To assist in the preparation of recommendations and business cases for sustainability of the SHRFV work and MARAM required activity.
