About the facility
The Physiotherapy Department provides services to a wide range of clinical areas across the Hospital. Physiotherapy is predominantly inpatient focused with some outpatient services provided in orthopaedics, paediatrics and pelvic health. Our dynamic team provides inpatient physiotherapy to all wards of University Hospital Geelong. Specialties include surgical, medical, orthopaedics, neurology, paediatrics, RAPU, oncology and the Emergency Department.
About the role
Barwon Health’s Orthopaedic ward Physiotherapy team are looking for an organised, dynamic and flexible team player with clinical knowledge, skills and experience in the acute management of elective and traumatic orthopaedic patients to lead our team. You will provide physiotherapy service delivery to the Orthopaedic ward, applying evidence-based, informed, patient-centred care within a multi-disciplinary setting. Rotational Grade 1 Physiotherapists, Physiotherapy Assistants and Undergraduate Students will require your leadership, teaching and supervisory expertise when they work in your area. Your own professional supervision and development will be valued and you will be supported to achieve your goals. Weekend work (as part of a team roster) will form part of this role.
